Does anyone else find it strange that those so-called polls touting McCain as ahead of Obama are largely for publicity sake? One might suppose that's the way to win a campaign....print outright lies about poll results so that a nation reads, sees or hears it and begins to believe everyone is voting for McCain.
52% of the media in this country is owned by Republican conservatives. All they need do is print a very different version of the results of polls to get the desired effect.
Get voters to believe everyone is jumping on McCain's bandwagon and you have the recipe for a Rovian media "slamdunk". Or as Bush would say, "Mission Accomplished."
